Hi Pdux72,
Can you post a picture to show where the screws are, I can see 2 on the top, but not sure where the other 2 are.
Thanks.

Further to my previous posts, I am considering modifying my headlamp assembly to accommodate an actual bulb for the angel eyes.

If anyone is upgrading their bulbs soon or has pictures of the headlamp itself from when they did it, I would really appreciate a view of what the hole in the headlamp assembly should look like when the bulb is removed, as I need how much to cut off my blanking plate!

Thanks

I know what the options are regarding the bulbs etc, but if you look back to my previous pictures, my headlight assembly doesnt have any angel eyes at all, and the light is molded in plastic over the hole!

I will need to dremel the plastic out of the way and hope there is a fitting behind the plastic.

How to upgrade to LED + Angel Eyes

I ordered mine up will replace them this weekend. My pass side one is out. Got led's too. Mines an 07, I thought there was a DIY on bumper removal/reinstall. But I can't find it. Granted I'm using the app n still getting used to it. If there's a link someone can post up I'd appreciate it!

I did this in the garage at the house. No jack needed, took a total of 1 hr from start to finish! Super easy I was worried about the bumper removal and it was just as easy as described!! Great write up!!!

Yes I found the 'angel eye install' DIY. Not specific to bumper removal but still was easy to follow! I got my LED's from eBay. To be honest I selected the 3w version and the cool white color.

Sorry for the delay viperjay. I hope that helps. I think I have the eBay link still if needed

The 6w r super bright almost like the new 7 stock setup. I wanted mine to be a little dimmer so I went with the 3w.. It's definitely brighter than stock halogen n I can tell they have been changed during the day when driving (whiter) I mean. It's noticeable during the day yes but not as bright as the new 7's....

I bought some cheap white LED angel eyes off ebay and they work just fine, but have noticed they strobe a little when I first start my car, OEM does not do this.

That's normal, it's the bulb check pulse.

As a side note, I just replaced my old "3W" LED angel eye bulbs, which were purchased in 2008. I got these 6000K "7W" bulbs from eBay for $30 from a US seller, and they actually use Cree XP-G LEDs:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121083802347

Color looks great and looks OEM (no harsh blue tint like aftermarket), and the higher output fills up the rings well. Much better than the 3W bulbs, which usually use an old SSC P4 or no-name chips.

Ok guy I want to know if any of you all have a 2006 750i. Reason I ask is that I found out that on my 750 there isn't any bulbs to change as there is on my 2004 745li although I purhase the lights to replace them. I called the dealership and I was told my 06 750i don't have any. So now my next question is this, why on the driver side the angel eyes light ring doesnot light up, however on the passenger side the light ring lights up. I have took the headlight assembly a loose and can't find any bulb. There is a warning light that comes on when I start the car up, which say there is a left parking lamp out. So can anyone tell where it is located and what does it look like.

I do. The proceedure for 2004 as to 2006 is VERY different. I just did this last weekend. You have to take off the bumper. check here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...er+removal+750 . The bulb for the angel eye is under the lamp unit, covered by a bracket. The entire lamp must come out to get to it. Its a little nerve wracking but really not that bad. Good luck.

It won't be bright enough, you need at least 7W. However, you will likely be pulled over for having blue lights on your vehicle (depends on the emergency lighting VC in your state).
