watercooled Alternator rebuild DIY

Hi

I did alternator rebuild to my 745 -03, so I thinked ill share some links to help others.

Usually its the back side ball-bearing of the alternator which starts to make noice.
In my case it started with little ticking noice and couple of months later it started knocking like hell-->

: So to remove the alternator. Here is a link to TIS

: and here is a link to rebuild alternator

Parts you need to replace (millimeters):
Ball Bearing 17/52/17 - NSK
Ball Bearing 17/40/12 - NSK 6203 2RS C3 / 6203DDUC3
Gasket O-ring 162mm BMW nr: 12317507996
plastic bearing holder 40/43/15mm This link is for Swedish alternator parts seller

you CANT get regulator for 180A alternator.
Diodes are replaceable.

Total cost: 45 euros ~60$
Enjoy !
