Can the dashboard lights be switched out for like blue instead of orange

Seen some DIYs over on fanatics. IMO it is a major waste. BMW did a lot of research to find that the OEM amber color is easiest on your eyes at night. Super bright blue lighting in your face at night isn't safe.

Dito on the research !!! Old developing dark rooms used red lights and astronomers use red flashlights and red LCD screen displays because it is easier on the eyes. The red end of the spectrum has lower quantum energy. When driving on the interstate or a country road at night it really is easier to maintain a clearer image on the road than say in a Honda that has brighter lights. I just wish that crazy high beam light was also red or amber just not bright blue!!!!

I keep my lights dimmed all the way. I had an ex that complained about it because "it was too dark". I still have the car.
