Wheel bearing replacement
Not sure if this will apply for your cars but if it does here you go:
I know there are diy out there but I am in the process of replacing both wheel bearings on a1988 328i I picked up from my son. I purchased a few tools and the project is very manageable. The toughest part has/was the axle removal. I found the bad bearing when installing new shocks. It looked like this:
After seeing that I decided to do the other one. As it would turn out it looks like this:
If you need to have this done I am going to post everything I do with lots of pics. I will also tell you what i am using and if you want to do this project yourself you can borrow the tools I use to do it. So the thread will become the instructions. You do this at your own risk. You will need a jack and the parts. I have only successfully completed one wheel and am doing the second now but to give you an idea of the time. I removed the hub and the race and took these photos and the tread in 40 minutes.
Just my way of giving back to the community.
