Question X3 Sirius Install Price

I just ordered an X3 and they want $899 for the install of Sirius. I already payed for the prewired kit which cost about $75 Does anyone knows if $899 is a legit price? If you ask me I think it's crazy. Any thoughts on that would be greatly aprieciated. I was wondering if I might be able to order the parts myself and install on my own using my premium audio pre wired setup. Please let me know if anyone has any info on this.

Thanks Much!
Matt

BMW and Sirius reduces price on Sirius Kit

There is an article on CNN that advises BMW is reducing the price on Sirius. I took it to local BMW and they honored it, unfortunately my car is not pre-wired.

I just checked circle bmw (www.circlebmw.com) for price and the receiver lists there at 299 plus an install kit and antenna.

Thinking about doing this for my '03, good luck.

Sirius

The parts are reduced to $345.00 and the install should be no more than $200.00. $899.00 is a ripoff.

Smile Sirius Install & Price

Ok, I bought the receiver and the install kit for $288. The installation took about 2 hours @ $81.00 per hour.

The X3 already has the Shark fin antenna so don't need to add that.

I ordered 13 months of Sirius service for $143 and received the promo rebate form from BMWUSA to take advantage of the $200 back promo.

So, total cost is $288 (Receiver)+ $162 (Install) + $143 (13 months Sirius Service ) - $200 rebate from BMW.

If your dealer doesn't have the rebate form call BMWUSA.

Cool This is Sirius

Just got our new X3 on Monday. The dealer is asking $365 for the unit plus a 2 hour install. If any of you are considering the Sirius system but have never had satelite radio, trust me....you will love it!

No more Sirius rebate?

I emailed BMW asking about the $200 Sirius rebate. They informed me that the offer expired on May 31 and that since I took delivery on June 14 I am not eligable for the rebate. Of course the dealer is clueles about all of this.
Sounds like I will be using my XM Roady in the X3.
