Scenic places/drives around Calgary????
my g'friend and I are looking for some nice places other than Banff and Lake Louise, to go for a drive on the friday b4 bimmerfest. Can anyone please suggest some places/points of interest that would be worthwhile visiting? I had heard that there's some nice places south of calgary, but I am unsure of where it is exactly.
TIA! |

Head south and just drive ! I would head south through Black Diamond, Turner Valley, etc. From there I would either head over the Highwood Pass into Kanaskis Country or go all the way south to Waterton Park, which is one of the most scenic places I've seen! Depending on your route and average speed
these drives will take anywhere from 3-6 hours.Rob

Even if you head west into Baff, you can always take side roads and have a nice drive.

Thanks Guys!!!
we have decided that since we want to spend as much time in the mountains as possible, that after the BMW meet on the Saturday, we'll leave early sunday morning to go to Jasper, then spend a couple of days hiking thru the mountains. That oughta be some good exercise for us!
thanks again guys! |
