HID Fog light installation

Hey guys, I have the HID conversion kit from DDM and was wondering if anyone knows exactly how to do the installation.

Thanks in advance!

If it's like the ones that I've done, you take the clip off entirely that holds the existing bulb in place (using pliers or a flat head screwdriver), and you hold the new bulb in place by bending over the pieces the clip attached to, pinching the new bulb in place.

To get the wires through the back cover, you drill a hole through it about the same size as the skinniest part of the rubber grommet on the new setup and then caulk around the grommet once in place.

You should be able to just plug the rest in.

On the several that quarterto8 and i have done, we've found that you can securely and easily mount the ballast to the top of the brake air duct on each side using a layer of double-sided duct tape from Lowes / Home Depot on the entire underside of the ballast.

Hope this helps!

Hey Sak, I was going to go off of these when I get my car back...

Keif, what kind of caulk should be applied, all purpose? I think I have some for rubber laying around (used it on a rubber seal for a commercial fridge).

Also when I did mines a while back I was getting flickering. I added a capacitor on each ballast and they've been great ever since.

I did get the resistors too, I will try to connect everything so I don't have to redo anything later

You're welcome Sak . Let us know where you mount the ballast/error eliminator! After reading the threads I pulled the covers apart to eyeball everything and I was a little .

Haha yeah me too. I thought it was going to be easy but when I saw all the cables I kinda lost

Will try to get it done today or tomorrow.

Don't have much left to do, just this, install roof wing, put front custom license plate on, finish lowering and windshield 50% tint and that's it I think

I'm using my phone to reply but I'll check on my computer. I think I have a link saved where they also explained the wiring. I think I already figured mine out.

Are you going for other stuff too? If it's just for the lights I'd say DIY but it's up to you. I'm wondering if electrical would work in place of the caulking, Keif, mentioned...

You can even type in "DDM Tuning" in YouTube and people show how they plugged it all in.

That's actually very helpful. I think I got it figured out I just need to make sure I instal the resistor properly but I'm sure that should be clear after the installation

Hey what's up everyone. Just came out of the shop, finished installing the roof wing, front plate and interior led lights. Will post pix as soon as I get home.

Didn't have time to do the fogs today but I took some pix to make sure the connections are correct

finished installing interior LEDs

I actually used UV leds on the side ones both front and rear and they look amazing, I posted a pic where you guys can see how colors look in the dark under UV specially white. Also the rest are regular white LEDs and they are really bright also posting a pic where you can see how much light they give

I'm blown away, your car is gorgeous! I love your custom plate molding! Did you fab that up yourself? Great pics too! You're just on a roll...!

Thanks a lot bro I really appreciate it specially since it took me so long to get here lol about two mints without driving the 7

The custom plate was an order from eBay. It cost me $45 you can get any style or color combination you want (I liked the black on black one) if you want to let me know and I will tell you the seller so you can get it from him. You can have whatever you want up to 10 letters put on it.

Sure thing, I would appreciate the details. More so, I was referring to your molding on the car itself how you have the plate set inside it. Did you custom make that trim piece? From what I see, your license plate fits/sets into the trim piece.
