In this forum, a little resourcefulness go a long way. On the upper right hand of the page is the Google applet that you can use to search... "angel eyes". Oh wait... here I did it for you:

Angel Eyes

Hey man - maybe you can help me out. I just bought Angel Eyes LED Bulbs from Burgertuning.com. Had them installed and my inner halo is a lot brighter than my outside halo. To the point where you can't really see the outside halo unless you look closely. The guys at burgertuning are saying this is normal and if you kneel down 20 feet away from the car you can see it, but in all the pictures I see, they look somewhat evenly lit (more evenly lit than my car) any thoughts?

That's what you get with these halo rings. Live with it.
To get them even you have to pull the whole lighting assembly apart and replace the rings themselves. Big PITA.
Hey, LEDs are a lot better than the old yellowish look, right?

If you crouch down 10 feet in front and stare straight into them they should look a bit more balanced.
Nice thing about LEDs is they only draw 5-6W and supposedly last for the life of the car. No maintenance!

I have an 08 535xi, replaced mine (one burnt out) with the burger arc angels ($29/pr). They look much whiter now, took about 5 minutes for the first side and about 2 minutes for the other. Both identical process. Most of the time was spent screwing the cover back on the rear of the headlight assembly (needed smaller hands)

Does that Bilbao just change the color of the inner angel or both that and the xenon if you have it? It seems to me from what I have read is, that bulb changes the inner but you need another set up for the xenon to be white. Is this correct?

There's only one bulb per side -- it feeds light to both rings, but not evenly. The inner ring will be brighter than the outer ring. You can insert inexpensive whiter bulbs, like GP Thunders, to change the color but they'll be nearly invisible in daylight and they'll dim when the headlights are on at night. LEDs are bright even in daylight and don't dim when the headlights are on.

Unfortunately that is due to the design of the AE for our models, one bulb for two halos. The inner rings will always be brighter then the outer. The new corona AE have a bulb for each halo that makes both rings the same brightness. Post some pics.

Most of them have or you can get resistor packs that help make them error free. The lux ones that I have came with them and go in the light housing with the led. However with that said there are times with certain e60's that error codes do pop up with some of the lights. Usually who ever you bought your AE leds from can help you out.

I just got mine installed from Burger-tuning today.
2004 530i looks as good as it gets I guess, it just sucks that I live in Florida and it's so bright all the time.

There shouldn't be. When you hear about coding and AE upgrades it is when people change the coding to disable cold and warm check. Your car does a system check on startup and through out the operation time of the vehicle. Some people that have had error issues have done this to stop the car from showing a light bulb is out or from making the led lights from flickering from the check.
