I've debated and went with the lighter gray.. less headache with maintenance.. plus I don't like the greenish hue in different lightings... You should have gone with SG

Congrats!

It's a much bigger vehicle than E60, this morning I did my first wax on X5 and it's weird having to get a step ladder just to freaking wax the roof

Thanks F1!

Turbo, I've done it before on my 5 series, wasn't a big deal for me

Question:
1. How many diferent OEM tires come on the X5 Premium with 19" rims?

2. Does the ipod adapter come with the car or do we purchase it as accessory seperately? I have the ipod adapter in my current 5 series and wondering if it is the same / use it on my X5.

The iPod adapter should have included with BMW apps but You have to purchase them so they could make more money after selling the $65K+ vehicle..

Bad info - There is no need for an Ipod adapter. Use the white wire that came in box with Ipod to connect to car. Works flawlessly and cool that album art is displayed on Idrive screen

Did any of you gray people consider Deep Sea Blue? My wife really likes that color but Im on the fence with it. Seems nice at night and a little bright (feminine?) during the day. Would like Space or Platinum Gray but considering making the wife happy (happy wife happy life??!?).

I have Deep Sea Blue on my current 5 series and although not the same vehicle, at first I loved the blue color and it was sorta rare since not many people had it. But after 3 years I've gotten really tired of the color. My choice for the Space Gray is that it is a neutral color as in, easier to keep clean ( not show dust and dirt as much as other darker or lighter colors ).

How is the DSB with scratches and dirt? Does it show them easily? How about swirls?

Thanks!

Almost exactly as having black. Scratches, dirt, dust and swirls show very easily.

I went back and forth between grey and blue for about 2 weeks before deciding on blue. Looks great in blue too. The grey is a more rational choice, the blue more of an emotional one. I ended up with blue as the last 3 cars I have owned were silver/grey and I felt I wanted a change. As crazy as it sounds I think it would look great in a deep Forrest or Racing Green but they dont make it so blue was the next choice. When my sister in law gets her 3 series im sure it will be grey. Grey has vey good resale and is very very easy to take care of.

I did. I thought it was quite nice. My wife was only fond of it in certain light. She found it was too "blue" in direct sunlight. I thought it was kind of cool, but whatever. It's one of those decisions that will always be right. I think this car looks great in Platinum Grey, Space Grey, Titanium Silver, Deep sea Blue, Alpine white, and Black Saphire. It's just a question of how much work you want to put into it. The only colors that are questoinable for me (personal preference) are Vermilion Red (never much liked red for a car unless its a Ferrari) and Sparkling Bronze (on the fence about this one).

My 550i is Titanium Silver and I love it. That's why we immediately disqualified TiAg as an option. Didn't want 2 cars the exact same color in the driveway.

FYI.... Ipod adapter is not for playing song. It is used with BMW apps and you can use the internet to browse websites like Facebook, Twitter and Google.
