What is the best oil to use in 98 e 36? Is full synthetic best and if yes, why?

If only someone took the time to write an entire thread dedicated to this exact question... Then maybe had one of the moderators make it into a sticky. Maybe somewhere like at the top of the page, so it could be easily referenced. THen we could look into having a whole bunch of people chime in their knowledge, and research on the same subject.
Think this could be arranged?

Full Synthetic oil will be fine just use a weight appropriate for your temperatures and change it before it hits 6k
