E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

135i CV Seat Issue
Just got a 135i CV Saphire Black with TerraCotta. Issue is the car is for my wife it has no sport seats and the seat is pressing so hard int he lumbar area it is almost undrivable. I know the lumbar is fully deflated and the dealer is looking for a solution. Just wondering if anyone has run into this situation? If so was there a fix maybe by an automotive upolstery shop...
Thanks, Brick |

Our 128 vert is my wife's car, but we have the sport package with the sport seats. Sounds like we have different seats, but I have no experienced this.
Are you or the dealer sure the seat is not defective?

My 128i 'vert has sport seats and my E91 has standard seats, both with lumbar support. As both feel fine with the lumbar deflated (and I've had two disk operations), it definitely sounds like a malfunction of some sort.
Let us know how it is resolved. Tom |

SHop Foreman at service says seat is fine. I can tell you the drivers seat is different than the passenger seat in the way it feels. The dealer is working on a fix. I would like to get the sport seats and have them installed. Not sure is possible but I think it should be 4 hex bolts and plug and play!!!

Any fixes yet?
I just picked up a 2013 135i yesterday. I have a 1+ hour commute each way, and the drivers seat is unbearable. I simply cannot get the lumbar support to deflate fully. I've tried every adjustment I can think of. I did read a post in the F10 forums where someone suggested pressing hard on the seat bladder while it's deflating. I do hear the hiss of air escaping when I deflate the lumbar support, and I've tried pushing with my back to make moe air go out, but still not enough. Tomorrow I will try using my hands to push out more air. I will let you know if that works.
Anybody have other suggestions? |

Seat
After months we have truly given up. I pressed, banged, called BMW NA, no solution. I know now never to get a BMW w/o the sports seats. I'm on my 3rd but first without the sport seats.
I will say the seats do give after a while and ease the push against your back. Not what you want to here but it's where I'm at. Good luck, Brick |
