I am on bimmerforums too, so here is my observation:

- bimmerfest is somewhat more "classy".

- bimmerforums tend to have more "show-off" and arrogant people.

Bimmerfest HAS class lol. In a FS thread a guy was selling his powdercoated style 5s on bimmerforums. The first response was "Those are hideous" A lot of the posts on that forum seem to go with that theme.

Out of the two.. I prefer Bimmerfest.

Bimmerforums tends to attract more childish members. Though that's not a fault of the forums'.

I left out 'site' as in their site, better?

Lala this site is 'boring' to you because there are a lot of technical and handy posts.

Not dumping on you, but with only 114 posts are you sure?

Roadfly use to be the best (IMHO) until they changed their message board software.
Lots of good quick advice when it was in it's prime.

Roadfly was a good site. My cousin told me about it a while back when he used to have an E30 M3(loved borrowing that car)

You guys need to broaden your views IMO.
Try looking through discussions on the Track and Auto-X section, or the E34 section, etc...
There is incredible amounts of knowledge there.
You just need to know where to look, and from who...
Yes, there are some young guys there.
Yes, there are some dumb posts.
However, you can say the same about any forum.
Does it really make sense tainting your opinion about a forum from just one thread?

Thanks!
Jason

Each board has its good/bad but I try to stick to bimmerfest. Bimmerforums seems to have a lot more exposure vs this site. I wish both boards are merged together. However, this forum lately has a few questionable posts. This sounds bad..but I think the used car prices for the e39 are very low now and more "less mature" folks are now buying the 540's and the 6 cylinders.

What lalaray is talking about is this site is dead slow. Hours between posts. Bimmerforums there is something new everytime u push refresh. Just wayyyy more traffic there.

But yea bimmerforums suck mainly because of the moderators like gumbi being worse a-holes than the members.

I'm about 70/30, 70% being bimmerforums. I really enjoy both forums though. I'm on m5board too but only for e39.

Bimmerforums has saved me so much money by doing my own repairs so im not knocking the site, just the admins running it like immature nazis in the e39 section

I never asked but why were you having issues on there? I saw you had your licensed suspended several times but back now.

I have been harrassed for some time now by james and gumbi. Not sure how it ever started.
They banned me forever this time because i supposedly have "1000x extra accounts" with the message attached as "lol"

Literally mocking me as they ban me.

Gumbi is just miserable and hates everyone. James, usually respectable but privately sends me some pretty rude pm's and bans me for the craziest excuses. I got banned for 30 days last month for "inappropriate/pornography" because i posted a pic of my wife in a bikini holding up my new intake manifold in my manifold thread.

Crazy stuff. Like gumbi bans me for "offensive language" because i said "fo' shizzle" but yet in the next reply he calls someone a dick.
