Mein Auto: 750IL 2009
2009 750il

Purchased from Dealer in 8/2011. One other owner.
since the purchase, I ( a female that knows you put key in ignition, turn on & go) have had to add OIL on 2 different occasions on the Interstate!!!

Also, the car smokes terribly from those exhaust pipes whether cold or
been running.
The Service advisors say this too is normal. I say it's not for a $75K vehicle.

Now it's been in the service department 3 days & I was told one issue is the
"water pump". Good try - there was a recall 10/2011 & do you think I rec'd
notification.....no.
Service also said there's an engine issue (ya think) but didn't say what as of yet.

So, did I buy a Lemon or is anyone else having similiar not so honest issues.

I seem to have to add oil every 6K miles. My 750li is also a 2009, but no issues with smoking. Ironically my water pump issue came up in February of 2011 and was replaced then, long before the recall.
I hope they get it all figured out for you

Oil issue is normal. I've had to a quart at about each 6k miles as well. This engine does put out a more noticeable amount of exhaust than other vehicles as well. I've noticed it at stop lights.
