creaking suspension noise

I have a 1996 740 I l that my front end seems to be creaking at slow speeds when I turn the wheel or go over a small bump. Any ideas

This is probably a ball joint. Jack up the wheel and check for movement. Sometimes they creak before you can feel movement so yoy may need to check it again.

If it gets worse when the car is warm, suspect the centre tie rod. The ball joints dry out with all that heat, leading to the creaking

What is the cure for ball joint creak? is it a lube or a replacement on a 2001 740il?

It's probably time to change the control arm bushings or easier change all the control arms. The front has 2 per side then the stabilizer links. You can get a kit for the front and back for about 700$

Lower control arm bushings Very typical. These cars tend to be very front heavy so those control arms take a beating.

It's the entire steering track rod ends and the centre control link I changed mine after hearing the noises you described and now it's quieter than a dead badger
