Mein Auto: 89 saab 9000, 86 bmw 535i

86 535i question

Just picked up an 86 535i 5 speed and had a very simple question about it.

Are all 535 clutches heavy. I come from an 89 saab 9000 turbo and the clutch is very quick and responsive. But when I hopped in the BMW for the first time it just seemed extremely heavy (more like a truck). Not sure if this is typical or if I just need to get used to it.
