heated steering wheel

A couple of weeks ago there was some confusion that if you ordered A 50i with the "M" package as well as the "M" Performance package, would it have the heated steering wheel?

The answer is yes........I have just received mine and it does!

Have a good day!

John

Do you have the paddle shifters as well? What engine version N63 or N63Tu?

Awesome news. Have ordered a 50i with cold weather, M-Sport and M Performance package (paddle shifters - option 7XA) and will be pumped if the wheel has paddles and is heated.

Could you post a close up pic of your steering wheel to let us see how it might be different from the steering wheels from 2012s and before?

Thanks very much for posting and congrats on the new ride.

I'm wondering this as well, but I'm willing to bet its not the N63Tu. If they were going to use this engine they'd make a big deal about the addition of valvetronic. There's nothing in the press release or the website about any mechanical changes. I'd be willing to bet its just a different tune with more boost.

Do you guys even use the paddle shifters? Had them on my last 2 5 series and used them maybe twice total. They fill out the look of the steering wheel a bit but not worth too much.

Same here. 2010 535i with paddle shifters for 3 years and I've probably used it all of 10 times. I also prefer a manual transmission in my cars, but the paddle shifter is no substitute, it isn't intuitive at all for me and the reason I'm not worried about getting it on my X5.

Thanks for posting. Have a similar order placed and heated wheel is a favorite feature.

If you have a chance to post a pic that would be terrific. Perhaps this year's M-Wheel is different than year's past, i.e. more like a 5-Series / 6-Series M-Sport wheel that has heat and paddles.
