That holy ****, how much am I going to spend
So yesterday (Sunday) afternoon my friends invited me to play some paintball, so there I go to a friends house to meet him up but not before I stop to fill up my car with Shell premium unleaded gas, when I get back inside the ZHP it started for about 3-5 seconds and then it shuts down like if I ran out of fuel, so then I'm like holy **** did I just fill up my car with diesel?!?! I look back at the fuel nozzles and there is only unleaded fuel their, then I tried to started again but the engine would only turn, so I'm like holy **** how much an I going to spend for a fuel pump (I'm a mechanic so I wouldn't spend on labor) I took the back seat out because I read somewhere here that the fuel pump would be their and of course it was but I saw two holes where the pump would go and both have wires going to it, so then I check the wires and everything seemed fine, so then I check the fuse (witch I should of done first) and the fuse is good and now I'm like WTF, I'm going to pay a dumb ass wrecker to take this car back to my house and then pay again to take it to a shop. As I was sitting on the driver seat I was talking to myself and asking the car to please work. So I put the key in the ignition slowly and asking please please like a million times and then I tried to started once more and guess what? It started!!! I was freaking happy and I asked myself what the hell could of made the car act like this, is there something going on with the wiring, pump, or fuse? Has anyone had this issue before?

this happened to me once in all my driving years (i don't know if it's the same case as yours)
after filling my car with gas, turned the car on and it started to shake and rattle as if she's gonna turn off, pushed the paddle hard and it went just fine and back to normal. called my mechanic who told me that could be some kind of sh!t in the gas that clogged the injectors and caused the car to behave that way... (which is normal where i'm from cuz the gas is sh!t )

I can see what your talking about but no, I doubt I had crap in my injectors even if 1 was clogged it would still run or 2 were clogged but then it would run like crap...
Hopefully it doesn't happen again |

Fuel pumps start acting weird before they fail, which they're known to do at about 150k miles. How many miles are on your car? If it gets worse and you replace the pump(if that turns out to be the problem) don't forget the fuel filter also.

FYI, my pump failed around 83,400. I would say it's not that uncommon around your mileage.

Your fuel pump is going to fail. Fact of life. www.oembimmerparts.com has them.
