NJ Troopers High Speed Escort

This little gem has video of NJ State Troopers escorting a pack of high-end cars down the Garden State Parkway.

The State Police today suspended Sgt. 1st Class Nadir Nassry without pay pending the outcome of an investigation into an alleged high-speed caravan of luxury sports cars led by two troopers down the Garden State Parkway to Atlantic City last month, his lawyer said.

Sounds like they're serious about this. If the Sgt. is lucky, he may get to fish dead bodies out of Newark bay for a couple of years.

Clearly This Is an Example Where The 1% Gets The "Right Of Way". But Honestly If I Was Late To Work I'll Probably Use Those Sports Cars As A Draft to Get There Faster, sorta "Blend In" lol. Oh and Those Teens Need to Get Laid. . .Big-time.

The videos of the caravan are from 2010. Apparently, it's an annual run. According to witnesses, this year, all the cars had their license plates taped over, probably so witnesses couldn't write them down and then complain about specific cars.
Can't blame the sports car drivers. Given the opportunity, I'm sure most of us would do the same, especially if a cop said it was okay. However, the troopers involved need to be charged with every law they broke, should be fired, and should probably lose their pensions. Police do a hard job and need to be respected for it, however, do to the very nature of their job, and the power we allow them, they need to be held to a higher standard than the rest of us. This flagrant disregard for the law from them is inexcusable.

Oh, collecting his state pension is a given! This is New Jersey! The Trooper who nearly killed ex-gov. Corzine in his 91 MPH Parkway crash was "punished" with a 40% pension (tax free?). Plus health benefits for life!

It's not like Nassry and Ventrella tried to kill the governor. They just annoyed hundreds of NJ motorists by doing something that was unsafe. AFAIK, annoying NJ motorists while doing unsafe things is part of the NJ State Police's job description.
