Fleet of F30 3 Series Land at BMW Performance Center

The BMW Performance Center now has a fleet of the new BMW F30 3 series vehicles to use in several of the BMW Performance Driving Schools. The fleet contains 335i Sport Line models which are being used in the One / Two Day Car Control Schools, One / Two Day Teen Schools, Corporate Programs and the Ultimate BMW Experience.

Just like any BMW, the new 335i Sport Line drives and handles exceptionally well. With the Driving Dynamics Control, the driver can tailor the vehicle's driving style to their preference. The Comfort mode setting gives the suspension more travel, softer throttle response and lighter steering feel. If the driver wishes to be a little more aggressive, they can choose either the Sport or Sport+ modes which will give the vehicle a stiffer suspension, quicker throttle response and a heavier steering feel.



These vehicles are all equipped with the 8 speed automatic transmission. This is going to introduce some shifting by the driver to obtain fast lap times on some of our autocross courses. Previously these courses could be ran entirely in 2nd gear when placing the transmission in manual mode. However 3rd gear now needs to be used in some sections to obtain the fastest lap.

As you can see from the picture, other new models are just around the corner. The Performance Center hope to have the fleet of new M5's by June to start using in the M Schools!
