Who is on Demeter Leader

I will start it. Dropped off at Frankfurt April 10. I'm scheduled on Demeter Leader. Demeter Leader is a NYK ship due to leave Bremerhaven April 27 Arrive Port Hueneme May 24. Currently in Emden. Track it here. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/dat...ode=&B1=Search

Dropped off in Munich on April 16th. I am on the Demeter Leader

Ship finally reached Bremerhaven. Hopefully loading our cars and sailing today.

I'm on it too. Looks like it is still there.

After 18 days car finally enroute to Southhampton.

My E92 M3 coupe is on the Demeter Leader.

I know the ship is due in Panama on May 14th and at Port Hueneme on May 25th.

Does anyone know where the ship is now?

Hopefully somewhere in the Atlantic headed southwest...

The last tracking location I can find is when it left Southampton or April 30th. I assume we'll be able to pick it up around the 14th when it transits the canal.

I have my F30 328i on that ship too.

Schedule slipped a day. Due Port Hueneme May 25. Hope customs works weekends. Doubt it though.

I dropped off my 650i on Friday, April 20th in Munich. InOut says it is on ASIAN Vision, which leaves May 8th and arrives May 30th in Port Hueneme.
I wonder why it did not make it on this ship instead, must be a full boat. Two west coast boats within 5 days of each other.

I dropped off my car April 2nd in Amsterdam, glad it finally is slowly making its way across the pond on this ship!

My CA emailed me on 5/9 with a status update and the screenshot says ship's est arrival is still 5/24. The screenshot also showed the est departure as 4/28 and actual as 4/27 so hopefully it arrivals a day early as well!

Since the dealer is Long Beach BMW and according to my CA, on average it takes 3-5 days for the car to make it's way to the dealer after landfall, I'm just booked my flight to LAX to get in Thu, 5/31 and spend Thu/Fri/Sat in LA and Las Vegas before driving back home to Denver.

Here's hoping for no shipping/custom/undiscovered damage repair delays lest I have to push back my pick up date!

Thanks to you, i finally have an idea of what's coming up.
Because i have been in the blind regarding where my car could be since my ED drop-off on the 24th of April from Paris France.

Since i haven't got any news yet from my CA, nor from my BMW NA website, regarding the current location of my car, my guess is that it has not yet been loaded to any ship!

I would have liked that it goes on the Canopus Leader, leaving Bremerhaven on the 10th of May... but it looks like it's enrolled (hopeful God) for the 23rd of May on the Jinsei Maru, to arrive tentatively on the 19th of June !!

It will be very tight schedule for me... i want to pick it up on the 23rd of June from my dealership in Orange county...

20th for checking
21st for transport
22nd for preparation
23rd for delivery !

it should be possible, but there is no margin!
otherwise, latest and greatest, would be to pick it up on Saturday the 24th ! good god!

Drivenbyf30 drop an Email to the shipper in Paris. They will know what ship the car is on.

Have you tried to track it following these instructions?

Track your car, if shipped by Wallenius Wilhelmsen, using the VIN #:

• Go to "track and trace" cargo section on the homepage, at the bottom right.
(as displayed June 2009, this function has changed location over the months)
• Enter the VIN in the "Cargo ID" field of the form
• Hit "Track"
• Status will be displayed once Wallenius has taken taken possession of the car and selected it for shipment.
• You will then know the ships name.
• If "no records are available" is displayed, Wallenius Wilhelmsen does not yet have your car in their possession, your car is not being
transported by their fleet, or the tracking system is lagging behind actual status – which is quite common.

NOTE: My car showed up on the site only a day or so before shipping.

I have tried that website yesterday, but wasn't sure if i did it correctly,
and tried it again today based on your excellent instructions

but no luck yet for me, it shows no record.

i guess i just have to continue waiting...

i will email the shipper see what they have to say..

If it's any consolation, I can't find my VIN on that site either. The Demeter Leader is an NYK line ship, I don't think it's part of the WW line.

I only know that it's supposed to be on that ship because my CA said so.

well, i guess the questions are:

1) how many line ship companies are there out there?
2) does all of them have the same tracking systems as the WW line?
and if so, can anyone give us the list of all of the ship lines so we can check ourselves??

I guess until we get an expect's advice here, i will google it myself...

the wait is frustrating now, not knowing where my car is...
So far it's not yet on the WW line
and i am not even sure that it's supposed to be on the NYK line...
so where in the world ??

I know how you feel. This is my third ED and I swore I wouldn't obsess this time and just wait for the call from the dealer. Too much free time I guess.

Imagine how I felt when my ship was in Bremevhaven, in line of sight of the web cam, but completely blocked by another ship docked between in and the cam!

Send an e-mail to k.ehler@blg.de and R.Plettenberg@blg.de
Katrin Ehler and Regine Plettenberg are with BLG, the shipping line. They were able to tell me the name of the ship, date of departure and ETA. All you need to give them is the place and date of drop-off and the VIN.

In my case, I dropped off in Geneva on April 30. I'm booked on Grand Mercury (WWL line) scheduled to depart port Bremerhaven 23.05.2012 with eta in port NY 06.06.2012. When I go on the WWL website and enter my VIN, it still shows "No records found".
