Luxury Hotels in Tokyo - Conrad and Park Hyatt

At the end of the year, I stayed at both the Park Hyatt and the Conrad Tokyo.

I think there were more similarities than differences and I would have a hard time picking one over the other for my next trip.

Both are in high-rise towers and have great views. While the Park Hyatt is much higher up, the Conrad has incredible views of Tokyo Bay (I took a few hundred pictures of the views in different lighting just to document this )

Service was equally good and worthy of a true luxury hotel. Restaurant choices were also good. I enjoyed China Blue (Conrad) and the New York Grill (Park Hyatt). The one area where the Park Hyatt edges out the Conrad is views during the meal.

Insofar as transportation was concerned, the Conrad is adjacent to a Monorail stop which was very convenient for my meetings at the Tokyo Big Sight.

In terms of the room itself, I was quite pleased with both but I might give a slight edge to the Conrad (maybe it was the rubber duckie and the bedtime bear that influenced me, who knows).

A few photos of each are below and those interested can also see my reviews with multimedia virtual tours (including one tour for the views) on the last page for both the Conrad Tokyo and the Park Hyatt Tokyo.
