bmw of NA should bring some diesels into US

was browsing through bmw.sk and looking at diesel lineup of 7 series and numbers are impressive..

for example

730d has 258hp/560Nm at 1.5k rpm with combined 6l/100km and 0-62 in 6sec

750Ld xdrive has 381hp/740Nm at 2k rpm with combined 6.4l/100km and 0-62 in 4.9 sec

I agree with you. I drove a 335d for awhile and you could not even tell it was a diesel, plus it performed impressively. There is no reason that the 735d would not sell here, it sure does in Europe. Plus--diesels will last forever if cared for properly.

diesels have come a long way...i remember old audi100 diesel...you could hear that thing a mile away...lol
btw i don't understand why is diesel so expensive here in US? its byproduct of gas....its cheap in EU...i remember grandfather RIP used to buy barrels and barrels of diesel for use on farm equipment back home,we had so much of it...i think he was paying like 300sk($5) for whole barrel back in the 90s...

i would love to get my hands on new 750Ld x drive, btw did you own 335d here in the us?

was just thinking that maybe bmw of NA doesn't want diesels in here because they would not make money of repairs/parts..its like you said very reliable if taken car off...seen few cars with 750k+ km and still running, mostly taxis...bmw/benz
