Oh man, I could've told you it would not have been worth the money from the very beginning. Only reason to restore this car would be simply for the sake of saying you did it.

Sorry to see the E36 go, but I totally understand. Any plans for other projects?

ya i knew is would cost alot but almost everything was rusted. so my dream of a e36 with no rust was at best a pipe dream. I'm going to catalog all the parts I stripped off of it and then sell off what I wount use and then I'll put my time and money into the 92 325i I have.

Yes I have big plans for the 92 325i, but thank god theres no rust repair for that one as it came to alberta from japan, and I cool thing I found when I ran the VIN is that it was built in germany so thats neat. I would like to swap the engine from the 328i into the 325i which entails swaping the m52b28 to obd1 so theres a performance upgrade there to. I'll start a new thread here in a little while when I start on this other adventure.

As far as the OBDI M52 swap, go for it. Just use all of the intake/wiring from the M50. You only need to splice the coolant temp sensor.
