Day After Bimmerfest Autocross!!

The BMW CCA LA Chapter is holding an autocross the day after bimmerfest. There is free space for vendors to setup booths. As a special opportunity we are inviting any vendor of performance parts to bring their cars and run them against the clock at our autocross. Anybody can talk about making the car faster, but can they prove it? Do any vendors have the courage to pit their project cars against the cold objectivity of our timing lights?

For those of you who have spent a ton of money modifying your BMW's, do you actually know how to drive them? Do you want an opportunity to push your car without worrying about law enforcement, pedestrians, other cars, etc..? Anybody can drive fast on the street - that takes no talent. But driving fast on an autocross course separates the drivers from the posers. Which are you?

For those of you who have never attended an autocross, it is a relatively low speed/high adrenaline motorsport that takes place in a large empty parking lot. In this instance we are running in Lot 12 of Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. No previous experience or special equipment required. Typically you will get 12 laps (9 practice and 3 timed). There will be a skid pad open throughout the day so you can practice drifting and donuts when not autocrossing or working. Our Club offers free instruction and your entry price of $65 ($75 cash only if you sign up at the event) includes lunch and water.

Please note that BMW CCA membership is MANDATORY, but you do not need to drive a BMW. Also please be aware that students are not allowed to take passengers. If you bring a guest they may take thrill rides with our instructors.

Spectators are welcome. We just ask that you let us know if you want to buy a lunch so there is enough food for everybody.
