Miss my E60 :(

So I had my 04 525I bought in to the stealership for an aux retrofit. Should have took 1 day and I get an email from the service advisor that my battery died and wont hold a charge. So I ordered a BMW battery from realoem.com and once it arrives they will continue the job.its been 2 days and I have.a 2012 528I but I sure as hell miss my 04

Also any word on how.long updating the car takes? He told me once they program the battery the car will update if it hasnt been. This car was never updated. Any idea on time frame? And what changes I should expect?

It will take 2 min to register the battery. They will charge you for an hour probably. Depends what their cash position looks like.
Also they may refuse to install it at all on the grounds it is not a BMW approved battery.
There are ways to get this done without involving the dealership at all, so if they give you grief just install it yourself and find an indie who can register it for you.

I bought a new battery direct from BMW, just popped it right in there and no registration, not sure what thats all about but you dont need to register it or do any coding,,,,,, may be a way of getting some more of your hard earned

I STILL have not got my car back or has the service adviser called me to keep me updated on the car. I am beginning to think they did something really bad =/

The F10 is awesome!!

Haha yeah I am loving the F10! They messed up my Idrive screen. Now it wont turn on so they are trying to fix it. Till then I have the 2012 528

I would just tell them to keep the E60 ;D
Kidding . . . hahahaha

Funny thing is I actually told my SA to keep it and ill keep the F10 haha. I have to say tho after a week of driving the F10 at high speeds the E60 handles SOO much better.
