E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

E30 Shocks/struts

Hi, I am a new member on here, even though I read through the forum all of the time. I own a 1990 BMW 325ic. I have been trying to rebuild this car to it's former glory and recently took on the task of replacing front struts and shocks. I have been unable to find any OEM parts and after talking to car shops in my area, they have all told me that the parts are not going to be found except at the dealer. I wanted to know if anyone knows what parts I should buy for the front struts and shocks. Also I would be open to doing a full suspension rebuild if that is necessary. Thank you for your help.

Welcome to Bimmerfest!

I'd have serious doubts about the shop you're using if they don't know where to find struts for your E30. There are plenty of OEM equivalent struts and strut inserts available. Check with some of the Bimmerfest sponsors (link at the top of the home page).

Hard to go wrong with Bilstein shocks/struts. For factory springs/ride height their HD pieces are fantastic. I you want to slightly lower and firm it up a bit more the SPORT package is very good. Turner Motorsport is one of many sources, Rock Auto is another.

Pictured is the full SPORT kit
