lost ignition key
(posted on another forum but no response..)
I've somehow/somewhere lost 1 of my 2 ignition keys for my M5 - anyone know the cost of replacement and programming by the Dealership ? thanks

why replace it? i doubt your dealer will charge you for it if you trade it in for another bmw

was in same situation and when i traded my car in i wasn't charged..

But how do you know he is planning to trade in his current car? I think you are looking at a few hundred dollars for a new key.

good news - I found the 2nd key - checked at the local dealership and it would have run around $400-$500 for replacement and set-up (and no, I'm not thinking about trading-in my car) |
