No, they will probably be sympathetic and feel our pain since things are in total meltdown over here. But that is OK and things will change one way or the other in about 6 months.
From what the CA was saying on Thursday I think you may be right about finishing earlier. Thanks! |

Update: website and 800 number say its finished production. Now, just waiting on the shipping. The anticipation is killing me.

The phone system says it is in production and expected completion date is 06/15. Order date 05/26. Website still says chill out no production.

Will be picking up vehicle this afternoon. Order date 5-23-12. Production started 5-30-12. Production ended 6--6-12. Delivery 6-8-12 to Knoxville. Web page is a day behind 800 number. Web still showing final touches and it arrived at dealer this morning.

Pay no attention to the website. My X3 spent the first night in the garage last night and the web site still shows it in finishing touches. Still waiting for the video also.

Absolutely agree. Mine still shows as finishing touches after 1 month delivery date. It was never up to date and at least twice during production would go back to "no production date yet". Your CA should have most accurate information. Video didn't show up until 5 days after delivery.

My X3 is finally built and has been sitting in SC since Thursday. It has yet to ship. It would have been faster to drive to SC and drive it home! Is it typical for a car to sit there for a week? I would think they would have a shipment daily to the NE. I expected to pick it up this weekend.

Picking up my X3 today
Quote:
Ordered May 8, Began production around May 22, Finished production June 4, delivered to dealer on June 11. If you want accurate status, always check the 800 number with your production number, it's much more accurate than the website. |

That is wishful thinking and I'm keeping my fingers crossed ... but I checked with the dealer yesterday and it really is sitting there according to them! They said they won't have an arrival date for it until it starts to move. And it's consistent with the 800 number which has been up to date for my build.

If I ordered on May 26th am I getting close?
They forgot the TECH package and that was added on May 29th. I have a VIN but can't track it in Canada

I tracked mine with the production order number. Would that be available for you? Call the 800 number and select option 2.

I was told by my dealer today that I'm at "stage 50". Whatever that is? He said it is almost built but my ETA is still the end of June/early July

Plant employee from SC told everything is shutdown, lines are cleared till July 16th. Seems mine one is stuck and have to rethink RDX.

I ordered my X3 on June 21st and saw it updated to track on the BMW website by June 26th and had my VIN number by then. I just called the automated line to see what it had to say. It tells me it is still in production with an estimated completion date of July 9th.
Anyone that may want the number - 1-800-831-1117, Option 2. |
