2012 X3 35i... First Drive!

Well, after almost 4 months of being away from home, I finally made it home to see my new X3. My wife picked me up in it and WOW, what a vehicle! So far I am extremely impressed by everything.

I only put about 20 miles on it last night, but I was able to play with quite a few features in that time. One thing I still couldn't figure out was whether or not my iPhone will stream music through the car audio. It connects just fine to make phone calls, but when I go through the menus and select my phone for Bluetooth Audio, it doesn't seem to connect. Maybe its a problem with my phone?

I did also notice the throttle delay, but I will be taking the car to BMW sometime this week to look into that more.

Other than that, VERY happy! I especially love the deep grunt when doing a fast shift under heavy load. Paddle shifters are fun too!

Does putting the car into sport mode help with the throttle delay?

Hmm, I didn't even try that... I will have to do that and let you know!

Congratulations on the new X3! I picked my 2013 35i up two weeks ago and am loving it too.

When you first paired your iPhone, did you check the box for "Audio" as well as "Telephone"? If not, bluetooth audio won't work. I had the same problem at first because my CA didn't check Audio when he paired my iPhone at delivery. You can go to "Telephone" and "Configure Phone" to select Audio if it's not already selected.
