Stole a 2013 X5 M-sport with M-performance Pkg..

The latest addition to our family. I also have a 2011 535i and 2012 650i.

This SUV is unreal. The performance borders on blistering. The M-performance package from Germany adds 40hp and 60lb-ft of torque. (440 and 500 now)

The only criticism I can find is that the interior lacks certain bells and whistles and a feel of a true luxury SUV. It is still beautiful on the inside but it is pure spartan BMW at its finest.

The instrument cluster is the same from my 2008 550i.

Handling is extremely impressive.

Nice buy! I agree the dash is out dated.

Congrats! We were looking forward to some impressions on the new M performance pack (it's 440 hp and 480 ft-lb, up 40 and 30, respectively). I got my 50i last month and just missed the M Performance pack, but made up for it with a Dinan tune. I'd be interested in seeing how the performance compares. I agree the standard dash is a bit bland but with full leather/leather dash it's very nice.

Just picked up my X5 50i with the M packages last Friday via PCD. I have nothing to compare to except my Acura MDX that this replaced, but the horsepower and torque combo will pin your backside to the seat with just a little push on the pedal. Having a great time getting sub-14 mpg!

Vatausae, where are you in Nashville? My parents have an order on a similar spec X5, but had never been able to find Space Gray with the Cinnamon interior (they have oyster ordered).

Have the same build delivered last friday. This X5 is a BEAST! You can really feel the full 440 hp when you open it up. I love how you can set a speed warning in your head's -up display. It is absolutely a requirement in this car ! How do you find the engine noise? You think a bit loud or just something to be expected from a car with this much HP?

While I am sure the car is making you happy I hope you did not pay $75k for it and got told by your CA "I discounted as much as possible." In PA I paid $70,900 and I see you did not get the technology package which added heads-up display and other cameras. Regardless it's amazing.. enjoy breaking it in. Perfect car when you really wanted to get the M5 sedan but the family wants an SUV..

So far I don't find the engine noise offensive -- in fact, it brings a smile to my face every time she "growls." At cruising speeds everything is very quiet just begging to be unleashed.

Indeed. I had it up to 120 last weekend on an open highway and it was quiet. It gets noisy at slow speeds, especially off a traffic light or stop sign. My first impressions are the car does not like to go slow and is less efficient at slower speeds, but I knew this and completely expected to boost my gasoline budget going into this purchase. It does sound like the Mustangs and Camaros of old, even on start up.

I didn't pay $75,950. I paid $69,000.

M5 is the car in 2014 when my wife's 2011 535i lease is 6 months out.

There is something VERY FISHY about this thread. On May 3rd, the OP started this thread raving about how he "stole" an X5 M-Sport, and how phenomenal the car is. Then on May 6th he started another thread sayingg that he had a 4 day old X5 that he hated, and wanted to wheel out of it for an M version. See link: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=619280

This makes zero sense to me. Troll? Off his meds? Either way, very very bizarre.

If I didn't have my 35i, I would have been more than happy to let him unload his 50i for $59k.

Could any of you guys tell me what exactly about this lease does not sound right to you besides the fact that I did not get the technology package included?

I got the lowest money factor the BMW gives, which is their buy rate.

I opted for the best tire warranty possible. It turns out that they did sell me the car for MSRP which I am blatantly upset about. I do however understand that this being a 2013 with the M sport and M performance package that there are no factory programs or incentives on this vehicle am I correct?

I'm sure that the astute member here would tell me that I should've negotiated for a price below MSRP and that I believe would be the only way I could've saved money on this deal. Trust me I plan on having a discussion with my sales advisor.

Since you asked...

First, you now state your cap cost was MSRP, despite your earlier assertion that you paid $7,000 less.

Second, you supposedly drive 25,000 miles a year, but leased for 12,000 miles per year.

Third, you obviously didn't read the lease before signing it.

Fourth, you made a big deal about what you paid, which really smacks of you shouting "Hey. Look at Me!" You obviously started this thread because you wanted to impress people. And you did. Just not the way you intended.

Brother, you must never get any p***y because you are an uptight message board guru who could not have attacked a more sincere, nice guy. Sometimes, even when you think you should say something...dont. Your tone is THE only offensive one I have encountered on this board and I hope you understand why you are wrong.

To tell me that I wanted a look at me moment is wrong. There is nothing wrong with being exited to express to this board that I thought I got a good deal on a new BMW. While my initial assessment was wrong, I do not deserve to be berated like you chose to do. I sincerely hope that your message board ego has been fulfilled.

I chose the 12,000 miles a year because as I stated in the other thread it does not matter, I always trade in early and BMW forgives my miles.

I did read the lease at the dealership and as I stated I bought eight BMWs from the dealership alone.... they always give me cars as a flat deal.

With this deal I was completely convinced that it was the same type of situation and I did not even bother to look closely at the Capitalized cost.

Either way you are out of line, sir and I suggest you acknowledge it or just continue being a message board dickhead.

I think you need to calm down before insulting the veterans on here. He saw through all your bragging and fluff and called you out. Deal with it without insulting quack.

Veteran? LOL

I've been a member longer than you, so stop insulting this veteran, Brit.

3rd person Quack doesn't need any help from you. Stay out of it or stay on topic. I'm not going to explain myself again.

Thanks. But it's obviously you and I who don't "get it".

You and I think we're savvy for researching our cars ahead of time, negotiating a deal that is less than retail, and reading the contract before we sign it. You and I think it's tacky to post financial details on the interweb, unless we're responding to another Fester's question. You and I are under the mistaken impression that lease contracts, monthly payments and early terminations are governed by BMWFS, not the dealer's whim. But we are idiots.

The other guy knows he can make an impulse buy, pay MSRP, and crow about how he "stole" the car by paying the same price any uninformed buyer would pay. He knows any rational human being would feel his pain in deciding 3 days later he wants a different ride. He knows there is no need to ever read a contract before signing it, And no need to worry about the mileage limits on a lease, because unlike you and me, he's such a good customer he can walk away from it any time he wants with no consequences.

Plus he obviously gets more p*ssy than a Secret Service agent (and never overpays for that, either).

Give the man his due. He's obviously a lot smarter than we are.
