Exclamation Z3/M Coupe East Coast Event -Der Schuh Syndikat

I’m happy to announce the first East Coast event dedicated to the ‘98-‘02 Z3/M Coupe. “Der Schuh Syndikat” is coming to Charlotte, NC on July 6-8, 2012.

The unique German name pays homage to a major European BMW event: BMW Syndikat-Asphaltfieber, which takes place every year near Obermehler, Germany.

http://www.syndikat-asphaltfieber.de . Ironically, and totally coincidentally, Der Schuh Syndikat 2012 meet is taking place on the same weekend as the German event.

The “Drive for 65” is an active effort to set a new record for a coupe gathering. 65 Z3/M Coupes in one location has never happened; at least not since leaving the factory. Dorkfest (a similar meet on the West Coast) is also trying to break this record later this summer. So a friendly East-vs-West challenge is underway. Please tell every Z3/M Coupe owner you know about this event so we can beat the record on the east coast!

Z3 Roadsters and our Z4 brothers – actually any BMW - are absolutely invited and encouraged to attend. This will be great time no matter what you drive. Just please keep in mind that Der Schuh Syndikat is a celebration of the E36/8 Coupe, and those cars will be the center of attention.

The event will kick off on Friday evening at The Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte North. We’ll start around 5 with a pizza social during registration. Saturday will be a full day –We’ll leave the hotel about 815 am. Spaces are reserved for us at Charlotte Cars and Coffee – one of the Charlottes largest cruise-in type events. We’ll roll out about 11am and head down the road to Indian Trail, NC and CES Motorsport, a local BMW Tuning shop. We’ll have lunch there. There will displays and demos, plus there’s a special deal going on the Dyno that involves a Horsepower and Torque contest. http://www.cesmotorsport.com We’ll leave CES around 5, then drive to a location for a group photo. Then it’s on to dinner at The Waldhorn Germn Restaurant in Pineville, NC. We’ve got their banquet room reserved for dinner and awards. We will have an event photographer on hand the whole day to capture everything.

Online event registration will open in a couple of weeks. In the mean-time, mark your calendars and reserve your hotel room. Hilton has given us a great rate and a dedicated reservations page: http://hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en...l?WT.mc_id=POG

You can also call the hotel at 704-597-9428: and use the rate code: “DSS”

Keep up to date on the latest!

Exactly 1 month from now, Der Schuh Syndikat will be eating dinner at The Waldhorn German Restaurant in Pineville, NC. This will be the first ever East Coast (USA) Z3 and M Coupe event. Are you coming to Charlotte? If so, now is the time to register online. I will soon need to begin ordering T-shirts and other materials. I'm asking for your commitment so we can properly plan. - Thanks! As a reminder - All BMW's are invited to register and attend. http://www.schuhsyndikat.org/
