I am personally not a big fan of chrome... though it only matters what you like...
I have changed my grill from Original to all black |

My 2 cents on design appeal:
You have a sport version with blacked out window trim. Now add an M-tech front bumper, M5 trunk lid spoiler. 35% tint. The new rims are better than the oems. They will work with the additional mods I suggested. Classy.

nice! Just take that license plate holder off and insert buttons in the existing holes. You can use BMW touch up paint to paint the buttons the same exact color of your car so nobody will notice.
For that color car chrome stands out. If you did black kidney grills it would look too dark. Im not a big fan of chrome but you could put some chrome around the windows. |

Personally I hate chrome but for my beem black would make it look to sporty and it's not an m5 so I went with the classy look of chrome

Too much bwing bwing for me, but having an open mind it doesnt look bad espicially having those cross drilled rotors behind there. If you have no plate in front ditch the holder and its a good looking car all around.

Kinda looks like my 303 replicas chromed. Not bad. I like my hyper silver but I'm beginning to think the space gray or platinum gray e60's would look good with a gun-metal type rim. Anyone have this look?

Xclone does. Looks great with his 19" VMRs in gunmetal.

The rims are hot but I like the black grilles better as they match the shadowline trim. If the car didn't have the Sports pkg and had the chrome trim around the windows, then the chrome grilles would be a better match.

I like a stock look so I believe your OEM original rims look much better. The new ones are fine but they are chrome. Very few BMWs have chrome rims (for good reason) and I personally don't care for them.
The new grill looks better as that was the standard grill on the 530i and 550i. The look would be improved w/o that blank plate on the bumper. Do what "bmw479hp" said. |

Chrome wheels were never my thing, but obviously some people must like them, or nobody would sell them. I really like the style 124 wheels on my car, but they might not be that easy (or inexpensive) to source.
