X3 xDrive 28i M Sport package steering wheel with shift paddles

Hi, I thought some of you might be interested.

Last week I ordered a X3 28i with the M Sport package among other opptions. I have a mid August production slot. After receiving the vehicle inquiry report and checking the configuration I discovered a positive surprise. Under the detailed options it listed option 7XA, M Sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters. This is good news because so far it was not possible (in the US) to order the paddle shifters with the 28i.

No I can't wait to get my car delivered but that probably won't happen until September!

That is interesting. I wish that would have been available with mine that was just built (in June and July)! To be honest, the feature wouldn't be anything more than a "cool" feature to me, but as soon as I read that the 35i had them I knew my fiance would appreciate them.

Discovered this by accident with my CA once I was about to place the order. Switched from wk 30 to wk 33 production because of it. Agree with you, it's not a killer feature but for me worth the additional 3 weeks wait (even though it is killing me right now).

That's really common that they add minor feature changes mid-summer.
