2013 X3 Grill color

Xline is chrome. Shadowline (M sport) is glossy black. However, that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the grill color.

Update: my dealer called my car is in I take delivery on Monday! And the grill on my X3 28i is chrome! So there really is no rhyme or reason to it guys!

Interesting. We just picked up our x3 28 2 days ago and our grill is flat black. Looks great. Also took a factory tour and all 28i I saw in the line had black grilles.

Are you sure they were looking at:

1. 28i
2. your car?

Yes they were

I have the sports activity package and mine is black. Like I said, I picked it up from the factory. All x28 or x20 euro models I saw on the line had black grilles.

I'm sure the dealer can change them in a snap, literally.

This is my first posting. I just bought an x3 2.8 as well and would prefer chrome grill. Can't we just order the chrome grill as a replacement part?

im sure you could, and swap it. the dealer might do it upon delivery for free. or you could do it yourself. it will cost about $300 usd.

Sure someone is saying that about the silver grill. See if you can trade with someone?

I want to trade but haven't figured out how we would do it-we'd have to go grill-less for a week or so???
