2011 Z4 passenger side vanity mirror cracked during detailing
My detailer messed up and cracked the passenger side vanity mirror during their cleanup. I called and he said he would take care of it. But he said he would use his own people/ contacts (sounds like he wanted to do it for as cheap as possible). I called my local BMW service center they gave me the quote below depending if I have a leather or vinyl visor. They said that the mirror can not be replaced, the entire visor will need to be changed out
$132 for vinyl $226 for leather $76.20 for labor $7.60 for shop supplies + tax Vinyl : 215.8 = $231.11 Leather: 309.80 =$ 331.87 Questions for you: 1. Does the quote make sense? 2. Since its a leased car, I should only get it fixed in a BMW service center I don't want to pay money at lease end, right? |

I would just fix it at BMW and not worry about the hassle when you turn it in.

He can get the visor at a discount, for example getbmwparts.com, and install it himself. If you are a member of BMWCCA you can get a discount too.
