should I replace rotors?

Going to replace my frontpads after about 100,000 miles on the front with akebono Euro Ceramics. My Rayestos QS ceramics finally wore out. Brembo stock style rotors have only about 58,000 miles. No apparent wear/groves and no vibration.

Any need to replace? Do not even want to turn as usually does not work well on a BMW as they warp.

IMO I would have them check if your rotors are still up to spec . Then go from there . Just my 2 cents Russell .

If there are no groves you should be fine. Rotors on 525iA with 50,000 on them should be 'fresh' if you did not drive with worn out pads.

Mein Auto: Pretty much had 'em all
The crieria I use is; Are they worn beyond min thickness? Do they run true, no lateral runout? Badly grooved? Large ridge on edge?
If all the criteria are met I scuff them with an orbital sander* and grind off an offensive ridge that will tear up the outer edge of the new pads and tear into a fresh wear sensor long before pad life is gone.
Typically, a BMW rotor will last through two sets of soft-ish pads for me and my driving style.
* Scuffing the surface, I use a moderately coarse 80 grit, allows the new pads to bed in. Putting new pads on a glazed rotor makes break in take forever and also makes for a scary pedal feel.

Seems to be very sound advice. Thanks for the info.

Yes go ahead and change them. If you don't and needed to your going to want to change the pads again because pads do better once fitted to one rotor. And to me its worth spending the extra $250-$300 to get the rotors on one axle because the pads are $115. So better to spend that $115 once than twice.

Akebono euro front pads were $91 shipped from Tire Rack. Brembo stock style front rotors are 102 shipped (free shipping) from Amazon. Best price i found. Have not purchased the rotors Yet!

Well either way you probably don't want to buy anything twice. Just be careful and i think you'll be fine.
