Bad mpg on my first tank of dealer gas.
oh dang why my first tank only went 305 miles when the refill message showed
![]() only 16.6 mpg. Tonight I fill the tank for the very first time, I chose chevron octane 93. I hope the numbers will go up. (Though i enjoy the driving, but I was a long time toyota driver; kinda in shock right now) |

so far I'm at 1100 miles on my 2013 X3 28i. I am getting 22 mpg. Seems right to me cause I only drive the highway on the weekend and during the week it's city driving and stop and go. It's still better than my 2004 325xi which was getting 18-19mpg

I would reset the average consumption. My mileage was out of wack after I picked up my car... I assume because the dealership idled the car for an extended period of time (i.e. zero mpg)

These post are making me think somethings up with my car??
I have about 4,000 km on the car now. I've just reset the trip computer and am at about 14L/100 km or about 20mpg. That's all city driving. After returning from a 2,000 km drive this summer I was at 12L/100km or or about 23.5 mpg. On an average tank I'm getting about 400 km...mostly city. There seems to no big improvement using Eco Pro so I'm ditching that for now. But I'm starting to reset with ever tank so I'll have some better numbers soon. Will my mileage improve as the car is driven more? These numbers are worse, but not by much, than I was expecting. |

Unless you have a Frankenstein boot on your right foot something is fishy.
My commute is only 15-20kms (city), I drive fairly aggressively and achieve significantly better economy. I noticed my trip computer indicated 11.9L/100k at noon time today. My 35i M-sport has about 8800kms now. |

I like to push it sometimes but can't really do much in the city!
I take a lot of short trips, maybe that's the problem. I'm going to track if for a couple of tanks and then see. I really hope it improves with more driving. |

Folks should try tracking fuel consumption long term:
