Question Sirius XM ready

Does anyone have experience enabling the Sirius XM software on a 2014 328 Xi? I am planning on buying a new car and they charge $456 to install the BMW software to activate the Sirius XM capability. Someone told of an aftermarket way to update the NAV system. Does anyone know similar aftermarket way? BMW has to provide a unique code for the vehicle I would assume.

Do you know how to connect an IPhone 5s to the iDrive with the Y cable/connector? Someone on youtube tried with an adapter and it did not work. He thought that BMW needed a software update. It may not have been for a 2014.

Thanks for the info. I am new to the forum so I thought I replied to you already.
This is just in case you didn't get my initial reply. It is very much appreciated.
It costs a lot less than the dealer.

Here is the post: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=746787
Here is the company: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/
Here is the product: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...radio-retrofit

You will interact with Patryk Matysiak via: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/contact
Give them your VIN so that they can confirm your car is appropriate for the upgrade. I paid via Visa so I do not know about the PayPal policy.
Best regards,
