That does it! This TPMS hack has now given us some real info. Now I'm definitely going to dig into the sticky to build a cable and find other required info. Most of items of code mentioned held no real interest for me and a few were intriguing, but now... Hopefully will find that mirrors can be folded on lock, BMW logo as continuous display rather than iDrive menu (if that's prefered), have system stay on AM/FM manual dial rather than reverting to list of stored/found stations after +-10 sec. Thanks, DreamCar we all owe a lot for this.

Wouldn't it be nice if dealers could do this for us? Anyone know why they can't/won't?

I bought a new 2012 535i through Peterson BMW here in Boise. Ordered the car on-line got all the features I wanted. I love almost everything about the car, except ass. I contacted the dealer, but they won't help me disable (or remember previous setting). I don't have the special computer/cables to change the software coding. Do you know of anyone in the Boise area who could help me? Thanks

I would go to a different dealer. When I was looking at a CPO 2012 535 drive the CA told me that it could be recoded. They did that before delivery. So it remembers the last setting, doesn't disable ASS. After the first time I turned it off, that is now the default upon start up, with the light on.
The dealers are well aware that this reprogramming is available.

What I would really like is the TPMS code. I find it hard to tell the green from the yellow in bright sunlight. I also find it strange that BMW calls for such high pressure in their tires 35/39. Obviously the suspension is calibrated for those, since it is smooth as butta.
