2013 X5 Pricing - What is considered a good deal?

Hello,

New to the forum and I wanted to start off by saying thank you for existing but to everyone who has shared their experiences with the X5. They've been very valuable to me as I try to figure out what options I'd like to have and what I can do without.

I'm leaning towards buying a new x5 sport activity model with the convenience package and a few other options. MSRP comes to about ~$62,000. From what I gather, there are no incentives out there currently so I'm wondering what the community thinks is a good deal? $1,000 over invoice? Less?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Trying to create some levity here but to be honest, which model are you looking at? 50i or 35i?

I would like to see who rec'd a significant discount off MSRP on a 2013 5.0 xdrive M-sport and M-Performance. Please stand up.

He mentions sport activity model so I'm assuming the sports package.

Maybe he's so loaded that he doesn't mind paying more than the rest of us for his X5. Maybe he's part of the 1%. Maybe money to him doesn't mean as much to the rest of us.

Sounds good, I just priced a diesel around 72,000 so that gives me a reference point, thanks.

Why do people post these prices?!?!? Taxes vary by ZIPCODE, and hence this is useless to virtually everyone.

There is an OLP Credit of $1,500 (requires maturing or recently matured prev BMWFS contract), and a $3,500 Eco-Credit on the X5 xDrive35d.

Today I delivered for a super-skinny margin of profit after the $3,500 credit.

Thanks Jon
The eco credit is a BMW credit? Dealer credit or an IRS deduction on income taxes?
I am thinking BMWCCA membership nets another $1000 from The BMWCCA?

Just got our 2013 x5

This forum has been a big help to us, so trying to pay back by sharing our experience...

We just got our 2013 X5 35i with convenience package, technology package, and M Sport Package in Carbon Black with Oyster interior. Best we could get for this particular package was $600 over invoice, but we did get them to throw in some *stuff* - like a fitted cargo mat (b/c we have a giant dog), a couple of stainless steel coffee mugs from the shop and we are getting a $100 certificate to use in the shop later. We were really scraping for those last items. Not sure if this is the BEST we could have done had we waited it out, but we wanted this package and there it was just sitting there and we weren't absolutely positive we'd be able to a) find it and b) beat this deal if we waited.

Ordered our 2013 X5 5.0i w/ M Sport, Premium, Premium Stereo, Multi-contour Seats plus a few other items in Alpine White/Bamboo/Oyster for $1000 over invoice this weekend. I probably could have got $500 over if I pushed harder...

1. Are these pricing negotiated from dealers' lot or from "build your own"?

2. And these are OTD pricing? (I know, each state is diff with taxes & fees)

Mine was build my own. Could have gotten one for even less if it was one of the dealer stock vehicles.

I think most people usually quote pre-tax, title, license figures since those items vary so much. My was per TTL.

www.BMWConfig.com is a great resource to find out factory invoice/cost vs. MSRP of car. I just built and brought in the BMWConfig spreadsheet in with both MSRP and Invoice, added some profit in for the dealer and that was pretty much it.

from what I can see, buying a car of the dealer lot if where the deals are
they have incentive to sell them after the car has gone unsold for a while.
I believe they have them 'for free' for a few weeks then they start to have to pay interest on them and that is when price goes down.
If you order the car $1000 above invoice seems the norm.

after that there are some rebates out there, usaa being the best one but unfortunately you have tobe a member and if you don't have army ties, you can't.

best deal right now are the diesel, you can get 10k off msrp, can't beat that.

"if you don't have army ties...." Not just army -- any of the uniformed armed services including the NOAA and Public Health Service will qualify for USAA membership. I know the latter are not "armed" but they are "uniformed" services, and so qualify. The membership has been expanded quite a bit and now senior enlisted members are also eligible. Of course spouses and children of members have always been eligible. Both my daughters are members because of my (Navy) service for example.
