My Z4 Has Arrived! (with pics)

My Z4 with M Sport pkg finally arrived! Actually - it was pretty quick. Time between actual order and dealer pick up was just about 5 weeks. This is me coming from a Porsche Boxster ("Who Considered a Boxster, but got a Z4 Instead - thread)... and am not looking back!

I'm leasing this car for 36 months. $5K down, very decent discount along with (interesting) BMW incentives. Monthly pmt = $586 (before sales tax) Only have had it for one day and about 50 miles.... but this car is da bomb! As we all know, it is massively powerful with that smooth, linear acceleration, it is such a joy to drive. (say, isn't that what BMW said about it?) This is my 4th BMW, and my first Z4, but my 11th sports car. It's also my first sports car without a MT. I have no regrets about getting the DCT either! I can already tell it's gonna be the best one!

Oh - and that's my E91 lurking in the background. Nice combo - wagon and sports car.

I must say you are lucky to get it in 5 weeks. My ED order took 5 weeks (from ordering to picking up in Muchen), and I thought I had a good luck. Then, it took 5 weeks for shipping back to the US.

Love the car. I went back and forth between the Melbourne/Crimson, but ended up with the crimson. They are both great in my opinion. Good point on the "smooth" acceleration. I drove a friends 2002 Maserati last night, and it has loads of power/torque but I sure would not call it smooth and to be honest the ride was, well, pretty rough. Looking at yours makes we want to ignore the "to do" list and go driving. Love the pup also.

Glad to see you got the M-Sport and Premium sound. The one option I regret not getting was better audio.

Thanks for the compliment. The premium sound in this thing is just fabulous. Being a small cabin, and with surround sound speakers all over the place, I can adjust the balance and F-R settings (let alone the logic 7 and equalizer) to make this thing sound unlike any "stock" stereo I've ever had.
