So I drove the 640 Gran Coupe last week...

The frozen bronze color is stunning in person let me tell you!













Interior appointments were very nice! Oozes of quality workmanship and matierials oh and it drive nicely too

I'm confused. There are two different bronze cars pictured. One appears to be badged 640 and the other 650. The wheels and exhaust tips are also different.

The 640 has a turbo charged in-line 6 (315 hp), the 650 a twin-turbo v-8 (cranking out 450hp, 480ftp torque). I would like to add the 650 is loaded with the M package, not getting you any more horsepower, it's more of a cosmetic addition; sides skirts, rear and front are a little different, and you get a different sounding exhaust and smaller steering wheel, dark exhaust pipes, and better wheels along with badging for $4k+.

The car will price out along the 7 series, but with trumped-up quality and flair. I did notice the cost of options is pretty hgih. After pricing one out, it was the exact price of my 750Li that is pretty loaded. BMW is looking for a wider margin on this car by positioning it for the stylish buyer.

640 will be here next month-ish, and the 650 towards the end of the summer.

I'll be getting one of these in silver, I believe. Oh, and ED.

Thanks for posting. Glad you liked Frozen Bronze because it's the color I ordered but was afraid that it won't look good but your words assured me it will. BTW can you please go into more details on how the drivation of this car?
