You can just about make out the spoiler here on the LBM http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=173
It's definitely there in the 2nd to last shot... thats 2 for 2, mine better have one.

I would have liked to get the black seats with blue stitching just because its a special option... the Oyster was a better choice for Miami.

Not sure at all what the confusion over the small, rear deck spoiler is....???

My 2012 135i MSport (NOT "is") has one.

Unless you are talking of a much larger spoiler, but I sure don't see that in any of the pictures referred to in this thread....confused by your confusion......

135is new owner pics

Someone asked for more pics of the new 135is. Just picked up mine yesterday. Not sure I know how to insert images in this posting but I'll try below. As for driving it... I've read two different slights against the 135is - one complains that it's essentially a 135i with the M sport package (except for the additional 20 HP and the intangible brand equity from the "is", perhaps that's true, but in June I priced out a 2012 135i with the M sport package and it wasn't much less than my 135is, so I'm very happy I ordered the "is"); the other is that for about the same list price a 1M could be had... coulda, shoulda, woulda, but they were rarely if ever available at list price anyway. The old adage that second place is the first of the losers doesn't apply here. IMHO the "is" is a winner! I LOVE MINE. Pics...

Jones, thanks for posting pics and welcome to BF!!! And I agree completely with your thoughts...

I'm waiting for my AW 135is and these pics help with the wait. Of course, I wish we were getting the all black grille like the 335is, and the tinted tailights would have looked great, but the 1er looks great nonetheless! How does it sound?

Also, is the color of your rear diffuser black or still that grey color?
Thanks!

BTW, check to make sure your shipping blocks were removed. The wheel gap looks noticeable

Great Pics... can't wait to get mine. I agree with your analysis of the Msport 135/135is/1M situation.. the is is not much if any more $ than the Msport 135i and you definitely get more candy... I thought about buying a used 1M but I have to drive this car every day so things like sunroof, nav system and DCT appealed to me more than whatever incremental performace the 1M offers.

Exactly... I'm only "confused" because my dealer told me the small deck lid spoiler was not standard on the is.

Do you think they are putting the blacklines on AW cars abroad? I thought they were just for the dark colors.

rear diffuser grey... the growl is awesome... shipping blocks?

The rear diffuser is grey, not black. The engine growl is awesome. True story - this morning on the way to work I was stopped at a red light; Mustang GT pulled up beside me a blipped his throttle, so I blipped back and he did a double take. Shipping blocks - wheel gap??? Not sure what that means or how to check the shipping blocks. Please explain.

The black mirrors might look good on some body colors, but not so on white. I might have them painted white. Anyone know where I can order black kidney grills without paying dealer prices? BTW, I thought the wheels were silver. Not sure if it's clear from my earlier picture, but they're gun metal grey. Also, I was worried about ordering beige leather because of the black dash but the way they've integrated black with biege on the door panels (and seat backs are black too, doesn't show in my earlier pics) the interior beige / black looks great.

I guess I'll need to paint my diffuser black. Based on your pic, I was hoping I wouldn't have to.

You can check for shipping blocks by looking inside your wheel wells at your springs. You would see a large block to prevent your springs from moving during shipping. They probably were removed and gravity will take over to lower your gap.

I actually prefer the black side mirrors on AW. It looks like Carbon Black may get body colored wing mirrors. Check out TischerBMW for aggresively priced OEM parts. I plan to get my performance grilles from them (now also a rear diffuser to paint and play around with).

I thought your interior was Oyster b/c of it being 2-toned. I didn't think beige came in two-tone (at least it doesn't in other series).

Looks great. Keep sharing pics. Helps with my wait!

Hard to believe that a spoiler would be standard on any BMW.

The darklines are standard in the UK with the Sport Plus edition, too bad they're not DOT approved, they look great.

Even on Alpine White?... I thought the point of the blacklines was to compliment the dark paint colors.

Yes, it's standard for the model, has nothing to do with paint color.

White cars are sexier

The more I see those 1 Series, the more I want one... Definitely growing on me big time. Proportions are great.

What year is your Triumph?

Tr6

The TR6 is 1970 model year. BMW owns the Triumph brand and several years ago there were rumors (even an artist's rendering in British Car magazine) of a new TR6 based on the Z3 or Z4 chassis and running gear. I would have mortgaged my home for one of those.

Drove one yesterday. Fun ride, and a quick car. Exhaust sticking out bothers me but other than that I love it. Trying to find the right price.

Fun ride... exhaust note is a blast

Not sure what you mean by exhaust sticking out. It seems pretty normal to me. And trust me, the sound is AWESOME! I only have 900 miles on mine but so far it's been a pretty sweet 900 miles. Just so much fun to drive. Go ahead, treat yourself to some fun.
