2013 X3 3.5i Driving Experience Switch

Does anyone have any insight with the drivers experience switch? I set it to SPORT (or EcoPro--does not matter what I set it to) and it works fine while I am driving. But when I park and shut off the car, then restart it, the vehicle appears to default back to comfort mode. The owners manual seems to suggest it reverts to comfort mode automatically if: dynamic damping control fails, DSC fails, a flat tire is detected, or when using cruise control with traction or DSC off. In my case, none of these appear to be occurring (if they are, the vehicle is not telling me that). Is any one else experiencing this too? If so, do you think it is a car fault, or is it doing what it is programmed to do?

Thanks,
R.

Yes, I believe the vehicle defaults to Comfort mode upon each start up in the same way the Auto Start-stop defaults to on at every start up.

Thanks! That is an unfortunate default, IMO. Oh well!

That sounds like a setting that would default back to Normal mode after the engine is shutdown. I would not expect my BMW to maintain that special driving mode after I turned off the engine. All sounds normal to me.

Thanks, all. My 2007 X5 stayed in sport mode until it was shut off. But this is a new car, with a new procedure. Thanks again.
