03 745Li - How do I know if the CPT9000 will work for sure?

Title pretty much says it all but I have a curly cord that looks like it plugs into the bottom of the old cell phones. Can I just buy the CPT9000 and plug it in and it'll work for bluetooth after I sync of course??? Or do I have to do something else in addition to plugging it in?

Thanks in advance for you advice!

If you have the cord & not the small cradle with pins at the bottom . Then you need the 8000 BTUM
