I believe the tints are 20%. The rear windows are coupled with the factory tint and the manual window shade..so it appears even darker.

Looks fantastic!

I was considering getting my wheels powder coated, but I've decided not to because the brake dust makes it that color

LOL. Demand uniformity in your brake dust or... PC the wheels.

$150.00 per. Lifetime Warranty.

Is this a citation worthy mod? How do you suggest I do this? Is it as easy as buying a can of matte black spray paint ?

I'm not a fan of the painted reflectors, but as far as citation risk...you are less likely to get a ticket for that than you are for your tint. Florida limit is 28% and they seem to be cracking down. I just got a ticket for 15% tint on the GTR. I doubt most officers would even know the reflectors had been swapped out on any car.

To each their own, I am glad you are happy with the look but since this is a public forum I can not understand why this looks good,Isn't the same look achieved by letting the brake dust build up for about 6 months ??? I wouldn't want to use a non politically correct term to describe what this looks like .

P.S. Do you ever have to clean your wheels now ?

Sure, it's personal taste... I like it, you may not. However, you sound silly by comparing professionally finished wheels to those covered with brake dust...

I was making a point, of course I know the wheels were done professionally, don't take things so literally.

As someone who has gone ahead with powdercoating their wheels....I will point out that there is some discussion on whether or not the high temp process for coating the wheels diminishes the structural integrity of the wheel.

There have been reported cases of wheels breaking/cracking after powdercoating. I cannot list specific wheels or brands, but after doing my homework know that it is a potential compromise.

I think the powdercoated wheels fit perfectly with our car and hope the OP likes theirs as well, but you should be eyes wide open if you're going to go this route.

I certainly appreciate your post. The person who painted my wheels is a very down-to-earth gentlemen extremely experienced and a consummate professional. He informed me, after asking about the risks inherent to powder coating, that there were none because of the way these wheels are made today. The temperature does not come close to anywhere near the vicinity that could damage the structure of these wheels.

No disrespect, but I'd suggest that you look into it a little more deeply then. There are multiple threads on multiple car forums discussing this process. Of course he's going to tell you there are no risks....especially considering the exhoribitant amount that he charged you to do it.

I'm not saying all wheels will have issues, but there is a risk, regardless of what your guy told you. I was aware of the risk and still chose to proceed anyways. To mislead people into thinking that this is a risk free proposition is deceptive.

Well, I guess I took your statement that "you can't understand why this looks good" followed by the brake dust comment then a comment regarding a reference to a non politically correct term -- literally --. Not sure how I came to that conclusion? My mistake.

None of the above, except for a few tattoos from my younger years. You think the car looks jerseylicious or something?? LOL

I was going for more of the Dark Knight 'Tumbler' motif..
