528i Tire Lifespan

I would like to find out what is the typical lifespan of the run-flat tires that come in the 528i.

I'm considering a 10k or 12k lease so I'm wondering if the tires would wear out before lease-end / turn-in.

Can you please share your experiences?

I think with decent rotation and balancing (and alignment is good) you should make it ok.

Personally on an AWD car, I'm not so concerned about rotation more balancing. From having a few Audis, MB4 matics, and several xi/drives i was more conerned about balance. I wasn't worried about tire wear due to AWD, but more concerned with alignment and balance.

Since I run both winter and summer tires, I can split the mileage a bit.

I would go by my gut, and without a winter set you'll end up replacing the tires. But at lease end and if you negotiate with youre BMW dealer then the tire problems can go away. YMMV. Good luck!

Are you talking about TOTAL miles, or per year? I have never heard of anyone leasing car for that many total miles for the entire time you have the car.

Also, you don't say if you are talking about a car with the sport package - in which case you can't rotate the tires.

The conti's are a 60K mile tire per the Tire Rack. If it has GY's they do not list a thread warranty.
