I just bought my 535 GT today, sign and pickup on Wednesday. It's a 2013 Damask Red that was a BMW NA corporate car. I'll post some pics when I pick the car up! Let the mods begin!

There are few Damask Red BMW photos. You will do the community a favor by posting some. One thing I've noticed is how so many photos are taken from the wrong side of the car (the shady side). Photos taken with the sun shining on the side of the car being photographed are better. Much better.

Glad to have you aboard. You can learn a lot about the GT on this forum. I have.

My 2011 535 GT (Black Saphhire) was a corprorate car from BMW Canada with very low mileage so it was practically new as a CPO. Great way to save money.

I look forward to your pics as most if the vehicles I had when I younger (much younger) were red towards the darker shades. Happy and safe GT-ing!

How did you guys confirm that you had BMW corporate vehicles? ghs235 (the thread above) thinks he may be looking at a CPO corporate car but is not sure......based on the research I did when I bought end of last year, I could not confirm if/when a car was BMW corporate or not....and a BMW US rep even told me that a service loaner could be labeled corporate....

My CA was involved in the bidding for the
BMW Canada cars before they were even
at his dealership.

I just missed out on another GT just like mine
but with double the mileage which made it cheaper.
It was located at BMW regional HQ in Vancouver, BC.

My wife recently traded in her 2010 335xi for a 2013
335xi Sport with M Package and it was a BMW Canada
vehicle located in Markham Ontario just north of Toronto.

My dealer was the first for BMW in Canada and
it aggressively bids for company vehicles that it feels it
can sell in this market (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's capital)
That is how I came to own my GT. I had my CA on the lookout
for a loaded, CPO X3. He suggested and showed me that
for a little more money, a GT was a better value. After I test drove
th GT I test drove an X3 and there was no comparison hence I took my GT,
a much better value proposition. The year I bought it, my dealership
took in 9 GTs and my CA sold 7 of them.

Well in the States you'd be the Original owner on the title if it was a BMW corporate car as they would not title the car. I never thought about the service loaners honestly. I doubt, or at least it's statistically very few, they would have GT's as loaners though.

My CA told me it was a BMW corporate car, one of my good friends is very good friends with the CPO manager here in PHX, so I doubt they lied to him

Nice shots. Thanks for them . First Damask Red one I've seen, live or by photo. Sharp colour.

My wife went from a 2010 335xi to a 2013 335xi that of course has iDrive. She too has come to love it (as do I of course).

Question - I was given the rapid demo of iDrive at delivery and thought that I would get to know it better in slow time from the manual in the comfort of my family room. Gave up after about 10 minutes. I taught myself how to use it intuitively by sitting there and exploring it on my own. Have you done the same?

Happy GT-ing!

Yeah I skimmed the manual for about 20min... then just sat in the garage and played with it for a couple hours. My wife came out at 10PM, the night we bought it, and told me to come back inside .

What a visually rich color! Personally I do not care for the hip hop wheels with that color...from the photos it draws my eye to the wheels in a (bad, can't stop staring) type of way. Perhaps it is different in person however I am not so loaded or pretentious that I would purchase new wheels on your behalf (truly it's the former that is holding me back ).

Welcome to the club, enjoy responsibly!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of chrome as well... I'm on the search for new rims. It will be awhile though.

I laughed at how your 'discovery session' ended. I did it a bit differently. When we were out for weekend errands etc, I would park and tell my wife to go ahead and that I would catch up. I would then play with the iDrive until she came back telling her I| made some important adjustments by changing certain settings. She then rolled her eyes and told me where the next destination was and I did it again. I liked to think of it as intuitive, iterative, iDrive learning.....say that quickly three times.....

Great job on the pics. Once I knew enough iDrive to do the basics, each trip I went on, I decided I would explore and master one particular thing. Skills piled up fast.

I have not seen this color. I have seen many E-series in this color, and it invokes pleasant memorize for me. Do not sweat the wheels. We are running 18" wheels presently. If you saw our GT the first thing you would recommend is changing our wheels. We enjoy our ride quality with our new Bridgestone 960 A/S RFT's!!

I can't see the wheels when I'm driving, and it's not that easy to see in the garage...I'll take the better ride and lower cost to replace over larger tires/wheels.

I am with jad on this one except he gets to put his GT in his garage and I don't get to put my GT in my garage. (The wife calls dibs regardless of what she is driving because of something called 'weather', especially a Canadian winter).

I am content with the 18-inch wheels and the stock Goodyear tires. When the time does come I will give those Bridgestone 960s a try though based on the reviews that fellow GT-ers have provided in this forum.

Very nice! I've been meaning to do this but keep putting it off since I need to format the laptop first...maybe if I go buy a "learn to speak Finnish" book I can get motivated to pass the time away (like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory).

Yeah configuring the PC was the biggest PITA with the whole process.
