Stick with ANY good name brand synthetic and you'll be good. I've never noticed a difference in any oil I've used...chances are the rest of the car is going to fall apart before a BMW motor fails internally from wear. I run Lubro-Moly right now, but for the majority of my vehicle's life (181,000 miles) it has run Castrol. Newer oils have excellent detergency and breakdown resistance, so I wouldn't hesitate to go with most any synthetic.
