It's called disk brake quite ,goes behind pads to caliper surface AND under sensor. Its orange and the dealer most likely will not use it.Only way I could get my car to stop the noise!

It worked on my e39 528 brake pads for over 75K miles. Virtually no squeal. Dealer doesn't use that stuff, but it is worth the $4 investment if you do your own brake jobs.

I've got a '10 535i xdrive w/45k miles and they started squealing this weekend right before the car comes to a complete stop.

Of course, mine could be caused by the fact I did 15 laps on a road course on Friday...

I'm currently shopping for a bmw, looking at an 07 550i and an 07 330. After doing a google search of "2007 bmw 550i issues" I arrived at the site repairpal.com which says the brake squeal is a known issue and a new designed brake bad sensor is needed. http://repairpal.com/new-brake-pad-w...-squealing-772
